I recently purchased the Cambridge Entertainment Center online after spending several weeks visiting furniture stores and not finding a decent priced entertainment center that looked nice. I wanted one with a wooden back behind the TV as opposed to those that are open. The Cambridge one fit the bill and was exactly the right size. I looks as nice as those I have seen in the stores for twice the price. Be careful if you are trying to match it to existing furniture. The chestnut finish is actually much darker than it appears in the picture and matches is a good match for cherry finishes.

Over the years I found that most companies thought it best (and cheaper) to use plywood instead of real wood for entertainment centers. So to my surprise after reading some of the reviews about the Cambridge (made of solid wood) I decided to give Wayfair a chance. This piece is a beast. Even the muscle that brought it into our home looked exhausted after they completed the assembly process. Make sure you have help if you decide to opt out of the platinum service. As I said in the headline...beautiful! My family and I have never been happier. What a great addition to our family room. Even our 60 inch flat screen is ecstatic.

It holds my 65" TV. I had to make my own mounts for the shelf that sits above the tv. The factory mounting holes were not high enough for my 65" TV. When I got that done I then attached the side units to the main center piece. I used my own screws because the unit comes with the capability of attaching the side units to each other via the top crown piece only. When I got finished, the side units were attached to the center piece and each other via the top crown. It is very solid.

It took a long time to find a unit that was neither too big or too small. Finally found this unit. Fit the bill perfectly with 3 inches to spare. Bought the unit first. Bought the TV second to make sure I purchased the correct one. Price for the unit was $100's less than other comparable units.

The size was perfect for my 61 inch DLP television. I was able to fit my sub-woffer in the center console. I had to cut out the back of one cabinet to accomodate my receiver. Looks great!
